Seven American’s were among the eleven killed when a UH-60
Blackhawk crashed in southern Afghanistan Thursday. Early reports that the helicopter was brought down by the
Taliban have not been confirmed. However, Ahmad
Jawed Faisal a spokesman for the provincial Afghan government indicated the helicopter was shot down in Kandahar's Shah Wali Kot district,
which lies in the northern part of the province.
